Playing with films – Rollei rpx 100

One of my goal for 2019 was to reconnect with analog photography. This is how I started photography, around 15, with the Minolta of my father. But then, along the way of trying to become a professional photographer I stopped to focus on digital and paid jobs and what was expected of me.

I realized that some of my creativity and love for photography got stuck back there. I wanted to reconnect with a part of me that I missed.

The part that started doing photography not for others but primarily for herself. The part that wasn’t afraid to test and fail and disappoint and test again.

So here are a few photographs from an old Cannonet 28 that I bought a few years ago and never tested. I was using Rollei RPX 100 Black and White film. Afriend helped me develop the film and I choose not to edit them. You’ll see some cat’s hair now and then haha.

I can’t wait to play more with analog photography in the near future. However, I’d like for it to stay only a creative process. I am not planning for the moment to use this media for anything else than this purpose. Maybe one day, who knows…
